Curtis School sits on 27 acres of gentle hills and grassy playing fields on Mulholland Drive in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Admissions Events

Welcome! We are eager to share what makes Curtis School such an exceptional school and special place for our students and families. Prospective families will have a number of opportunities to visit campus and learn more.

Below are relevant dates for families applying for the 2025-2026 school year. Please note that individual campus tours will begin in September 2024, following submission of an online application.

Spring Open House - Our Open Houses are designed to provide families with information about our mission, programs, and community. Please join us for our Spring Open House on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on the Curtis Campus.

Fall 2024 Open House Evenings - We will hold additional Open House evenings in the fall. Advance registration is required.

September 25 (DK & Kindergarten)

October 23 (DK & Kindergarten)
November 13 (DK - 6th Grade)

Mornings with Meera - Spend a morning getting to know our Head of School, Dr. Ratnesar, as she shares her story and vision for Curtis School. This event is for applicant families only, and an invitation to register will be sent after application submission.

Individual Campus Tour & Parent Conversation - This is a required step in our process. After submitting an application, parents/guardians will be able to schedule a student-led tour and sit-down conversation with a member of our Admissions team. These visits will be held from September to January.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now available online. The application deadline for DK and Kindergarten is November 1, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. For grades 1-6, the application deadline is November 15, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Optional Community Events

Family Fun Day
Bring your children as you join us for a morning of fun on campus! Explore our classrooms, meet our Faculty, and participate in a range of kid-friendly activities with members of our school community. This event is open to applicant families only, and a registration link will be sent after application submission.

Lower Elementary
- After submitting an application for Developmental Kindergarten - 2nd Grade, please email the Admissions Office at admissions@curtisschool.org to schedule a campus tour and conversation with a member of the Admissions Team.
- Campus tours and parent conversations are conducted between September and January.
- All Development Kindergarten - 2nd Grade applicants will be scheduled for a Saturday assessment visit in January 2024.

- After submitting an application for 3rd - 6th Grade please email the Admissions Office at admissions@curtisschool.org to schedule a campus tour and conversation with a member of the Admissions Team.
- Campus tours and parent conversations are conducted between September and January.
- All 3rd - 6th Grade applicants will be invited to spend a morning at Curtis on a weekday in January.

Directions from the 405 Fwy South (I-405; San Diego Fwy South/Santa Monica)
- Exit at Sepulveda/Skirball Center Drive, staying in the right lane on the offramp
- Turn right onto Sepulveda Blvd.
- Turn right onto Skirball Center Drive at the first signal and cross over the freeway on the Skirball Bridge
- Follow Skirball Center Drive as it curves left and straightens out, deadending at Mulholland Drive
- Turn left onto Mulholland Drive and cross the Mulholland Bridge
- Turn right at Walt Disney Drive (this is the first paved road/entrance on the right after you cross the bridge)
- Check in at the security kiosk for parking instructions
Directions from the 405 Fwy North (I-405; San Diego Fwy North/Sacramento)
- Exit at Skirball Center Dr/Mulholland (Exit 61), staying in the left lane on the offramp
- Turn left onto Skirball Center Drive and continue to the end of the street where it deadends at Mulholland Drive
- Turn left onto Mulholland Drive and cross the Mulholland Bridge
- Turn right onto Walt Disney Drive (this is the first paved road/entrance on the right after you cross the bridge)
- Check in at the security kiosk for parking instructions
